Da Capo Second Season

I finished this series about a week ago.  Because there are already enough other blogs where you can read the story, and most people have seen the show anyway, I’m not going to give a summary, but just give some of my main thoughts on these series.

First of all, I think the original Da Capo was better than this one.  Although the second season wasn’t bad it couldn’t love up to the first season, if i may call it like that.

I personally thought Asia was rather irritating, and I’ve been annoyed with her performance all the time.  I know that without her, there wouldn’t have been much of a story, but still she was an annoying brat if you ask me.  Besides, I was really surprised to see her being in the same class as Jun’ichi.  When we first meet her, one would think she’s only about Miharu’s age or even younger.  But I guess she really had to take on Sakura’s previous role in this series.   I could appreciate Sakura a lot better in this series, at least she’s grown up (psychologically I mean).  I can go on ranting about every reason why I think Aisia was irritating, but I’m not going to, in order not to sound to negative.

Ever since the last series I’ve been a Nemu-fan (one of the few I guess) so I’m very happy they kept Nemu and Jun’ichi together.  The wedding was just…wonderful!  I love weddings ^_^ I couldn’t have thought of a better ending myself.

Overall, this series was good, even if it wasn’t as good as the first season.  It was nice to see al the characters again, and the new characters were nice (except for Aisia being irritating).

Karin comes home, still down.  Her parents start crying, to her big surprise and tell her nog to make them worry anymore.  Anju asks Karin why she’s come home, but before Karin can answer, she goes back to her room.  After having taken a bath, Karin goes to her parents and is very cheerful about becoming a real vampire.  Her family knows it’s just an act though.  Later, Karin’s sitting in her room, watching a photo from the school festival and she starts crying.  Then, the house starts shaking and falling apart.  winner-kun’s grandfather has found them and is attacking!  Elda tells the others to leave, and she starts fighting Winner-kun’s grandfather.  While fighting, Elda remembers about Al, and she wonders if vampires and humans will finally be able to co-exist.  Winner’s grandfather manages to impale her with a knife, though.  It appears to be Al’s knife, which brings back more memories.  Elda suddenly understands that after Al had stabbed her, and she had ran away, he came back to his senses and was very sad for what he had done.  Than Winner’s grandfather gives her the final blow, but she dies in content.  Meanwhile, Maki is looking for Winner-kun again, to tell him her feelings.  When she finds him, he starts to cry because of Karin.  Maki listens to his story, and tells him that it doesn’t matter if Karin’s human or a vampire, she’s still Karin.  She decides to go looking for Karin, but winner-kun stops her, saying if anything were to happen to Maki it would make Karin sad.  Maki says that he wouldn’t be sad, and than she tells him she loves him.  Winner-kun says he’s sorry but he still loves Karin.  Maki gives him the scarf she knitted for him and then she kisses him.  Afterwards, Winner no longer calls her Karin-san’s friend, but Maki-san ^_^  When Usui-kun comes home from working at Julian’s, he accidentaly drops the gloves Karin has knitted for him.  He tells his mother she can have them, but after he starts crying, because the food reminds him of Karin’s bentous, she hands them back to him saying they must be important to him.  The next morning, Usui-kun heads of to Karin’s house, to find it in ashes.  Winner arrives and they decide to work together to get Karin back.  Winner summons a horse and they leave to where Karin is.

I am really curious how it will end.  I hope Winner will fall for Maki after all, I feel sorry for her.  Hopefully, he manages to get his grandfather to stop too.  I really got no idea what’s going to happen next, but I’m really looking forward to next episode!

Kasimasi ~Girl meets Girl~ 8

We see a young Ayuki, who watches a butterfly been born out of a chrysalis.  She then decides she will never become as beautiful as the butterfly.

Sora wants to learn more about love and therefore he has organised a test of courage in the school.  Hazumu doesn’t want to go though, because she’s scared.  Tomari tells her not to be such a coward and promises to go with her.  When Hazumu is watering the plants at the rooftop, she hears people talking and decides to see who it is.  It appears to be Ayuki rejecting a boy, saying she’s already in love with someone else.  When she spots Hazumu, Hazumu tells her to do her best, but she says she won’t.

Tomari goes to Yasuna’s house to give her the photos of their trip to the sea, but Yasuna appears not to be at home.  Her dog is, though, and it chases Tomari away in fright.  When Yasuna returns, she is very happy with the photos.  She shows one of the three of them together to Tomari, and says that Hazumu looks very happy, it must be because Tomari was there.  Tomari says it must be because Yasuna was there and the girls wonder which one it is.  Tomari invites Yasuna for the test of courage and that night everyone gathers at the school, where Namiko-sensei is waiting.  Sora and Jan-puu have dressed up as ghosts and have hidden inside the school.  The group gets divided into pairs and Hazumu is very happy he got paired up with Tomari, but Tomari seems to feel sad for Yasuna, who is paired up with Ayuki.

Once inside the school, Hazumu is too afraid to open her eyes and clings onto Tomari, which embarasses the girl.  Meanwhile, Yasuna starts talking to Ayuki, and she finds out that Ayuki is also in love with Hazumu.  Ayuki tells her not to worry, though, because she won’t step onto the stage.  Then they hear Hazumu scream and Yasuna runs off to see what’s wrong.

Hazumu screamed because she saw someone lying on the floor.  It’s Namiko-sensei who seems to be very frightened.  Yasuna arrives and then they see what scared Namiko-sensei: Sora in a ghost costume.  The three girls get scared as well and Hazumu runs away.  When they see it’s only Sora they go on, and Tomari invites Yasuna to come with them.

Meanwhile, Asuta is walking around the school by himself.  Jan-puu hears him coming and thinks it’s Hazumu.  When she realised she’s got the wrong person she summons an alien to eat him.  Asuta runs away and reaches Hazumu’s group.  When Hazumu sees the alien eating Asuta, she’s so scared she really runs away this time.  Tomari and Yasuna decide to continue the test of courage together.  In the mean time Hazumu has hidden in a class room, where Ayuki is watching butterflies.  She tells Hazumu that she had always been happy with just watching them, and that now, she’s also just happy with watching everyone.

Tomari and Yasuna reach the roof alone.  Yasuna thanks Tomari for inviting her, and the two girls seem to have become friends.  Then Hazumu arrives and they watch the stars together.  Ayuki is watching them and says that Hazumu is starting to spread her wings.
