Kasimasi ~Girl meets girl~ 10

We see Tomari pack her suitcase.  Then she thinks back at the promise she made with Yasuna: to leave things the way they are for now, so they won’t cause Hazumu more pain.  The next day, Hazumu has four tickets for Sea Side Park and she wants to go the day after with Yasuna, Tomari and Ayuki.  Asuta feels left out again, but this time, even Hazumu has no compassion for her friend.  Yasuna is very excited about going, but it seems Tomari can’t go with them: she is leaving on training camp for 5 days.  Ayuki also says she has something to do the next day, so Hazumu and Yasuna want to go some other time.  Because you can only get a keychain from the park the next day, and Hazumu really wants it, Tomari tells the two girls to go together.  Yasuna asks Tomari if it’s really ok if she goes alone with Hazumu, but Tomari reminds her of their promise and tells Yasuna she trusts her because they are friends.  Ayuki then asks Yasuna if she will be successfull, but Yasuna says she thinks that being like this is fine.

At home, Hazumu’s father is making his camera ready to take lots of pictures of Hazumu at the aquarium, but Hazumu’s mother stops him. Meanwhile, Jan-puu is sad because she and Sora have to go for a few days, and she wanted to go to Sea Side Park with Hazumu.  At trainingcamp, Tomari overhears some girls talking about a kiss, and she remembers the time when Yasuna kissed Hazumu and in her imagination replaces Yasuna for herself.  The girls then ask her what she’s thinking of and ask her if her love is Hazumu, and when they tell Tomari that it can never work between them because Hazumu has changed into a girl, she gets angry.

The next day at Sea Side Park, Yasuna and Hazumu are having lots of fun and one moment they come into a room with sea fireflies.  It is so romantic, and they are surrounded by couples, so Yasuna grabs Hazumu’s arm and leans onto her shoulder.  Then Hazumu says she wants to show this to Tomari, and Yasuna remembers their promise and lets go of Hazumu.  When they are buying souvenirs, Yasuna suggests to surprise Tomari and bring her souvenir to her trainingcamp.  They go there by train, and then Hazumu calls Tomari, because they don’t know the location of the training camp.  While Hazumu is calling home, a man who works at the station tries to warn Yasuna that a train is coming.  Yasuna grows scared though, because she can’t see him.  The man comes closer and Yasuna starts to scream.  Hazumu runs over and tells the man that Yasuna can’t deal with strangers very well.  While she is still holding Yasuna to comfort her, Tomari arrives at the station.  She sees Yasuna and Hazumu, but from her point of view it looks as if they are kissing.  Tomari is shocked and feels betrayed by Yasuna.  She acts as if she hasn’t seen anything and takes Hazumu and Yasuna with her.  It seems there are no more trains back home, so Hazumu and Yasuna have to stay at the training camp for a night.  That evening, Tomari runs into Hazumu in the bath, and Hazumu tells Tomari that she looks like a fine lady with her hair down.  That night, Tomari can’t sleep and goes outside, but Hazumu wakes up when she leaves and follows her.  They then go and watch fireflies together, and Hazumu is very happy, but Tomari can’t hold back her feelings anymore.  She undoes her pony tails and asks Hazumu if she really looks like a women.  She then leans in to kiss her.  Yasuna, who is standing a bit further, watches them kiss and now she feels betrayed by Tomari.  In her anger she crushes the figurine they got at Sea Side Park.

The friendship between Yasuna and Tomari didn’t last very long, they have become rivals again.  In fact it’s all Hazumu’s fault, she should make up her mind.  I think Tomari should have asked them what that hug was about, because this all started with a stupid misunderstanding.  Tomari looks a lot better with her hair down though ^_^  I’m curious what will happen now, Yasuna seemed rather angry.

Kasimasi ~Girl meets girl~ 9

Hazumu is having a dream about when she was a child.  She sees a pink and a white circle, but then the circles turn into Tomari and Yasuna, who run away.  Then Hazumu’s mother picks him up and runs away with him, while he’s crying.  The next day, Hazumu is sitting in a drinking place with Tomari, Yasuna and Ayuki and can’t decide what to take.  Tomari says that he’s always been so indecisive.  Ayuki then mentions the festival that’s going on at the shrine, and the four girls decide to go together that evening. Asuta, who is sitting a little further, feels left out and asks them to meet him there at six.  Ayuki says to meet at five and tells the girls to wear yukatas.  Tomari’s in a pinch, because she doesn’t have a yukata, but she doesn’t dare to tell the others.  Therefore, she decides to go and buy one, but they are all too expensive.  Luckily she meets Yasuna at the shop, and she is willing to lend Tomari a yukata.  In the mean time, Hazumu and Jan-puu are getting ready for the festival, and Hazumu’s parents tell a story of when Hazumu was young and went home crying after the festival, but Hazumu can’t remember.

When they arrive at the festival, both Hazumu and Jan-puu are very excited, and Tomari and Yasuna both feel relieved.  It seems they noticed Hazumu’s sad face before, when mentioning the festival.  The girls are having lots of fun at the festival, and have completely forgotten about Asuta, who is still waiting for Hazumu and dreaming.  Namiko-sensei is also there, dreaming about Sora-sensei ^_^;  After a while the girls get hungry and Jan-puu wants to eat cotton candy.  Hazumu asks her which she likes best, the white or the pink, and Jan-puu says she likes pink best.  She then asks Hazumu the same question, but Hazumu can’t decide.  At that moment, Yasuna offers Hazumu some candied apple, and Tomari offers him some takoyaki, and Hazumu can’t decide again and runs off.  Sora-sensei finds her alone and uses the antenna on his head to read Hazumu’s memory.  When Hazumu was young he went to the festival with his parents and wasn’t able to decide which colour of cotton candy he wanted to eat.  Suddenly it started to rain, and they ran home, without any cotton candy.  His mother told Hazumu that it was his own fault and that one day he would have to make an important decision and be unable to do it.  Hazumu then starts crying because she realises that she will have to choose between Yasuna and Tomari, but she can’t.  The two girls happen to overhear Hazumu and Yasuna asks a favour of Tomari.  When Hazumu returns, both Yasuna and Tomari are carrying a cotton candy, a pink one and a white one, and Hazumu can have both ^_^ Then the girls go at the annual ritual, where one has to choose between two cups.  Tomari and Yasuna encourage Hazumu to choose, and even though she lost, she is happy that she was able to make a choice.  Then the fireworks start, and while the three girls are watching them together, Hazumu prays to God to give her a little more time, and that the three girls can stay together a little longer.

With only three episodes to go, it is clear that Hazumu will have to make a choice.  I felt sorry for Asuta in this episode, but I guess, as the story is coming to an end, there is no more room for him in the story, now it is really focussing on the three girls.  I am really curious who Hazumu is going to pick, I still think it should be Yasuna, but that may be a personal preference.

Dragon Quest 5

Dai is starting his training under Avan, but Avan intends to make him a hero in one week, by letting him undergo the Special Extreme Training Course.  Pop doesn’t trust it, he claims that everyone who’s undergone the training has died, but Dai is very exited.  First, he has to run, with three big rocks attached to him.  Next, he has to break a very big rock with his sword, but Dai actually breaks the sword ^_^; Then Pop shows him a few tricks and they train together and get classes on Avan’s main techniques: the Ground Gash, the Sea Surge and the Aerial Assault.  They have to medidate to increase their magical powers, but Dai’s no good at it and when they actually have to do a magical attack, he fails completely.  Avan then decides he will train Dai’s swordmanship and not his magic.  After training a lot with the sword, Avan lets Dai slash the rock again and he succeeds ^_^ then he falls asleep, completely exhausted.  The next day, Dai continues his special training and Avan uses his special technique, the Avan Slash. Pop then sees that he is really serious about making Dai a hero in one week.  Dai is walking around alone and Avan lets some big rocks fall on him.  Dai uses the Ground Gash to destroy them.  But the Ground Gash is the most basic of the three attacks, so Dai still has a long way to go.  That night, Pop asks Dai why he goes through with the training, to save the monsters, or for the princess of Papunika, but Dai doesn’t answer him.  The next day, Avan and Dai go to train alone in a cave, and noone is allowed to go in.  In the cave, Avan changes into a dragon, and Dai has to defeat him.  But Gome-chan, who had been worried about Dai, went in anyway, and when he sees the dragon, he goes to get Pop to help Dai.  Meanwhile, Dai is having a hard time agains the dragon, but then he remembers Avan’s lessons and realises he’ll have to use the Sea Surge to defeat the dragon’s flames.  Pop arrives at the cave and enters with Brass and Gome.  At the same moment the dragon attacks and Dai does the Sea surge and there’s a big explosion.

This is a double episode and they stop at a crucial moment so I’m very eager to see what happens next.  It’s only the fifth episode, to of course Dai will survive, but how will Avan survive this?

Magikano

I also watched this anime during my exams, another humoristic anime ^_^ although I liked it I’m really disapointed in the ending and it gave me a bad aftertaste of the show.  The ending was too open, actually nothing is solved, everything will just happen the same over and over.  Things seemed to have changed a little though, because Ayumi didn’t disappear again.

I also wonder if Maika knew about Haruo being the demon lord.  Why else was she so desperate not to make his magical powers wake up?  I think, since the time is being turned back every time, there’s aways a little bit that changes, and maybe some people knowing a little about it, without realising it themselves.

At first (the second episode) I liked Yuri best, because she stayed calm even though she had those feelings for Haruo.  She was the only one hiding them. But suddenly they changed her character and she became the same as the others, which I think was a little stupid.

Besides, all those girls having feelings for Haruo didn’t really have much to do with the story, since he falls for Ayumi anyway =_= There is some competition, but what for?

Michiru is really a bitch (I had just been giving my boyfriend a lecture about not calling anime characters a bitch, because they don’t exist, but Michiru really pissed me off).  There’s nothing good in her, she even wants to kill her sister, and what for?  Power.  Such a person I do call a bitch.

Overall, this series wasn’t bad.  They tried to put some story into it, and some moments were really good, but I really think they better ended it some other way. If you can’t stand ecchi shows, you shouldn’t watch this though.

Angel Heart 15

When Ryo and Xiang Ying go check the message board, it seems as if there is no new assignment for Ryo, but then Xiang Ying discovers a small strap of paper with a message for XYZ.  She decides to take on the mission herself and goes to look for the person who wrote it.  It’s a little girl called Tanya, who wants City Hunter to look for her father.  The description she gives of her father seems a lot like Ryo, and when he comes in she really thinks he’s her father.  Xiang Ying isn’t very happy, so Ryo tells her he isn’t really Tanya’s father, but he can’t possibly tell the girl.  He does have an idea about who her mother is: she looks a lot like a hostess from a club he knows.  Later Tanya, Ryo and Xiang Ying go to talk to the girls mother.  On their way their, Xiang Ying remembers a scene from her past: she had drawn her mother and father, because she was starting to forget their faces.  The guys in her organisation then made her shoot the drawing.  When they arrive at the club, Tanya’s mother, Irina, is very surprised to see Ryo, then she tells him she used his description because Tanya kept asking about her father.  Tanya’s real father is Kurahashi Katsumi.  Ryo recognizes that name: six years ago Katsumi is sais to have taken money from the Luzen Republic.  But Irina says it wasn’t Katsumi, but his boss, Kishimoto.  Xiang Ying decides to help Kurahashi, because she wants to see Tanya’s genuine smile.  The next day, Ryo discovers one of his guns is missing, and Xiang Ying is looking for a good spot to shoot Kishimoto.  She thinks that if he’s gone, Kurahashi won’t have any more reason to hide.

This is a double episode, so I can’t wait to see what will happen next: will Ryo stop Xiang Ying, will she shoot Kishimoto and then realize it doesn’t help?  And will Tanya realize that Ryo isn’t her real father?

Karin 24

Karin and her family are at the lake, and they’re starting the ceremony to make Karin a full vampire.  Karin is still in doubt if this is really the best choice, but she can’t turn back now.  Meanwhile, Winner-kun and Usui-kun are stopped by Ren, who doesn’t want them to take away Karin.  Anju helps Usui-kun escape though.  In the meantime, Winner’s grandfather arrives at the lake and kills Karin’s mother and father.  Ren comes to help, but he also gets killed, and so is Anju, who tries to protect Karin.  Because they were still in the middle of the ceremony, Karin can’t move and is really in a pinch now.  Then something breaks in her, because she sees her family dead, and she turns into a monster and attacks Winner’s grandfather.  When she wants to bite him, however, Usui-kun arrives and he offers her his throat in stead.  Karin bites Usui-kun, and then…

Watch for yourselves! emoticon Really, I hate it when blogs tell the most important part of the story so you’re already spoiled before you watch it, so I wont.  I did take screenshots of the whole episode so if you don’t want to get spoiled don’t watch all images!  This series is really very good and the last episode is suddenly very serious, it’s really worth watching!

I enjoyed Karin very much and I feel sorry it’s over already, but I guess if it were much longer it wouldn’t be so good anymore!

Ichigo Mashimaro

Because I don’t want to watch anime that make you want to watch the next episode as soon as possible during my exams (and I need a laugh too) I decided to watch this show.  It was very enjoyable, I really laughed a lot ^_^

Miu is really irritating though.  In the beginning I still thought she was funny, but she can really be a pest.  For example, she told Ana’s last name (Coppola) in school, even though she new Ana didn’t want anyone to know, she made everyone miss the fireworks at the festival and when Nobue decides to let them watch those little fireworks at home she makes it go out.  She also threw Chika’s piggy bank out of the window, hit Nobue with a ball on purpose, made her get fired by making a mess at the family restaurant she was working and farted in the public bath (although that last thing was rather funny ^_^; Anyhow, I really don’t understand why almost everyone likes her best.

My favorite is Ana, although she’s a bit weird too.  She wants to learn to speak English again, but when she has the chance she doesn’t try.  And she knows so much about Japan but doesn’t want anyone to know.  That’s fine, but if she really wants to be English again she should just try a little harder.  Sometimes it wasn’t clear if she really wants to be English again or not.

Matsuri is just too cute ^_^ there’s not much more to say about her though.

And Chika is the only normal person in the whole story.  I don’t understand why she stays friends with Miu though, since she doesn’t like her behaviour either.

Now, for more information on the series see Matthew’s Anime Blog.  He nicely described all episodes with images ^_^

Planetarian ~The Reverie of a little Planet~

This game is a Kinetic novel, made by Key. You play as some guy who lives in a world where it doesn’t stop raining, because of a biochemical war that started 30 years ago. You are in a town, but noone is there but enemies. When you decide to hide in a building, there is someone there, Reverie. She’s a robot who has been waiting at the planetarium for a customer to come visit them and doesn’t understand you when you try to explain her that she has been waiting for nothing, because the world has changed and noone will come any more. You end up trying to fix the machine to look at the stars, because it’s broken after 30 years without maintainance. After you fix it you get to watch the stars and it’s really worth it ^_^ Anyway, after that, you want to leave, but Reverie insists on going with you (she wants to accompany you to your car).  But it’s very dangerous outside with old robots who don’t know the war has stopped and they are still trying to protect the city.

I won’t tell how it ends though; because otherwise it’s no more fun to play (or read if you want, because you don’t get to make any choices).  I really liked this though, it’s like a book on your computer.  The art is really nice too and the story was good, although it was rather short.  Another good game by Key ^_^

Angel Heart 14

A girl is being followed by two men. She manages to escape and notices the message board.  When Ryo goes and check it the next day, he thus sees he’s got a client: the girl presents herself as Nagisa, and she’s being chased by Yakuza.  She confesses she often seduces men to steal their money, and one of those was a yakuza.  Meanwhile, Saeko has a lot of trouble teaching Xiang Ying normal manners.  She almost killed some guy who was hitting on her because she didn’t understand ^_^; Ryo then gives Xiang Ying the task of taking Nagisa to their apartment.  Nagisa wants to have fun on their way there, but Xiang Ying doesn’t let her: she says her mission is to take Nagisa to their destination without any detours.  Nagisa is still acting childish and Xiang Ying tells her that if she gets attacked she wont help her, because her mission is only to take her to the apartment.  Because of Nagisa’s behaviour, she managed to attract the attention of those yakuza again.  When Xiang Ying and Nagisa end up in a narrow alley, they are there and attack Nagisa.  At first Xiang Ying doesn’t help her, but suddenly something changes inside of her and she decides to help the girl anyhow.  The next day at the Cat’s Eye, she is pondering about why she helped Nagisa, when the girl comes in, wearing her school uniform.  She says she decided to go back to school and hands Xiang Ying a letter, asking her to be friends.  It later seems that it’s more of a love letter, and Xin Hong is not too happy about it, but Xiang Ying is very happy she managed to make a friend.

This was another Xiang Ying episode.  It was nice to see Ryo picking up his job as City Hunter again, although it was mainly Xiang Ying who did the job in this episode.

Angel Heart 13

My last exam is on Friday.  I’ve got some time now to write about a few episodes though.  The rest will follow after Friday, probably next week or the week after that.

Anyway, the episode.  When Saeko finds out that Ryo is now living together with Xiang Ying, she goes to check it out because she doesn’t trust him alone with a young girl ^_^; When she finds Xiang Ying in his bed she gets angry, but Xiang Ying explains it was her who crawled into Ryo’s bed because she couldn’t sleep in Kaori’s room.  Kaori’s memories were too strong. Ryo then tells her it’s ok for her to use Kaori’s room, it’s her room now.  Xiang Ying asks Saeko if she’s Ryo’s girlfriend and tells her that he only loves Kaori.  Xiang Ying has to go for a medical examination next, and when Saeko leaves for work, she tells Ryo he should find a job too.  When Xiang Ying hears that Ryo’s doing nothing but drink she gets worried about him and asks him to get a medical examination as well.  After the examination, Ryo is still wondering why Xiang Ying asked such a favor of him.  Meanwhile, Xiang Ying is getting another check up, and doc asks her why she wanted Ryo to get one as well.  She explains that she doesn’t want to die before him and cause him grief.  But fortunately for Ryo, everything seems fine.  Xiang Ying is still worried if she’s going to die before Ryo.  Meanwhile Chen, the helper of master Li is bringing Xiang Ying’s old medical reports. Doc finds that Xiang Ying and Kaori’s HLA antigens are a near-perfect match. This means that their compatibility is almost perfect and Xiang Ying will no longer need to take any medicine.  It also enlarges her chance to live long after the transplant, which makes her very happy. Xiang Ying starts smiling for the very first time ^_^ then Chen tells them that master Li has another present for Ryo.  He takes them to the station, where a whole new message board is standing.  With that, master Li is asking Ryo to start working again.  Ryo decides to take on the request. Master Li even gave him his first job: to be a good father.

I liked this episode.  It showed more about Xiang Ying.  She’s really starting to care about Ryo.  With thirteen episodes, the first part of the story is finished.  Ryo  will start working as city hunter again, and I’m sure Xiang Ying will help him with his jobs.
